Peerless Insurance, part of Liberty Mutual Agency, has expanded its small commercial appetite with the addition of over 40 business classes to its commercial protector Business Owners Policy (BOP) product.
The majority of the additional classes are in wholesale/retail, office, and medical office.
In addition, the insurer introduced six new internet classes to accommodate retailers with on-premises inventories.
The insurer said that the Limited Cyber Liability endorsement has been added at no additional charge for all qualified Commercial Protector and Custom Protector business classes as well as lower limits for employment related practices coverage for both products.
According to the Peerless Insurance, the Commercial Protector provides expanded property and liability coverage in a single policy for small business accounts with receipts up to $8.5m per location.
Other endorsements include property extension, liability extension, and employment practices liability.
The Commercial Protector Series is a portfolio of commercial lines products for small to mid-sized businesses, providing coverage for over 1,100 classes with receipts up to $15m per location.
Custom Protector offers built-in coverages and expanded eligibility with optional market segment endorsements in the twelve industries that include: condominiums; contractors; food processors; garages; hotels/motels; manufacturers; office/lessors; religious organizations; restaurants; retailers; service providers; and wholesalers.
The split-rated property and liability coverage will allow for price adjustments to match a customer’s specific exposure.
Peerless Insurance also offers the comprehensive business policy, a package policy designed for middle-market accounts. The core coverages include commercial general liability extension and a property extension endorsement, with optional coverages for equipment breakdown, employment practices liability, business income on an actual loss sustained, property extension plus endorsement, as well as a complete portfolio of ISO coverage endorsements.
