Zurich, a leading property-casualty insurance company, has named Paul Horgan as chief underwriting officer for its global corporate in North America unit.
Mr Horgan will be based in New York City and will report to Mario Vitale, CEO of Zurich Global Corporate. Prior to joining Zurich, he was chief underwriting officer for Liberty Mutual’s specialty operations unit. He began his career at Liberty Mutual in 1986.
Horgan is a graduate of the University of Maine, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in economics and management. He earned a Master’s of Business Administration in finance from St Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
