Old Republic International (ORI) has revealed that its title insurance subsidiary, Old Republic National Title Holding Company (ORNTHC), has collaborated with Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund (Fund) to form a joint underwriting venture. The venture is titled Attorneys' Title Fund Services (ATFS).

According to the agreement, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company (ORNTIC), a subsidiary of ORNTHC, will provide title insurance coverage to the Fund’s existing agency network, whereas ATFS will act as ORNTIC’s Managing Title Agent (MTA) for those agents.

Under this contract, ATFS will offer The Fund’s network of 6000 real estate attorney members underwriting, educational and property information services, and claims processing. The Fund and ORNTIC are fulfilling their mission by reaching this agreement.

In the last five years, the Fund’s annual agency premium production has averaged approximately $385 million. In 2008, 80% of ORNTIC’s national title premium volume came from independent agents.
