One Risk, a retail property and casualty insurance brokerage, has named Marcus Norton as its vice president in the property/casualty area in a bid to enhance its footprint in the construction industry.

According to One Risk, Marcus will add his knowledge of client management, advocacy, and risk advisory experience to its Construction Practice.

One Risk CEO Jon Turner said that Marcus has the ability to navigate the legislative issues facing the construction industry providing clients with advocacy.

Currently, he serves on the board of directors for the American Subcontractors Association of California and is the chairman for the Government and Industry Relations Committee for the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) of Colorado.

Marcus is also a co-chair for the Government Relations Committee (ASA-C), chairman for the Wrap-UP/OCIP/CCIP Regulations Committee with the American Subcontractors Association of California (ASA-C), and a member of the American Society of Concrete Contractors nationally (ASCC).

He is also an active member of industry associations including American Concrete Pumpers Association, American Shotcrete Association, American Subcontractors Association, Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), and Construction Finance Managers Association (CFMA).

Prior to One Risk, Marcus was a vice president of the Moody Agencies in Colorado and a vice president of Allied North America/AON in California.
