Insurance provider Now Health International announced that their investor Primary Group has entered into an agreement to acquire Bermuda-based medical insurance provider Best Doctors Insurance.
According to Now Health, the deal will create a global top tier specialist International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) proposition with complementary products, distribution and geographies, spanning in four continents with 12 sales and service offices and above 100,000 members.
Now Health International CEO Martin Garcia said: "This is a highly complementary transaction for Now Health International and our investor Primary Group, as Best Doctors Insurance will fill a large void in our global emerging market strategy."
Best Doctors Insurance, which is owned by US-based Best Doctors, has service centers in Miami, US; Guayaquil, Ecuador and Toronto, Canada.
The company provides medical insurance services covering high-net-worth individuals and global expatriates residing across Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada.
Best Doctors Inc chairman and CEO David Seligman said: "The Best Doctors Insurance business has grown well beyond our hopes and expectations. We’re very proud of what the team has achieved. "
Now Health provides IPMI solutions for global expatriates, high-net-worth individuals and small to medium sized enterprises across Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
