Norwich Union has appointed Dan Pickens as its new personal lines director on a permanent basis and Larry Harrington to the role of commercial lines director on an interim basis.
The appointments come ahead of the retirement of John Seaton, director of underwriting, pricing and product, in April 2008. Mr Pickens and Mr Pickens will report to the new underwriting, pricing and product director once a replacement for Mr Seaton is found.
Mr Pickens has personal lines experience at a senior level having previously worked at GMAC. Mr Harrington has over 30 years of experience in commercial lines underwriting at senior levels, more recently as senior vice president of commercial lines at Aviva Canada.
