Nordea and TrygVesta have expanded their cooperative general insurance line to offer their services to businesses in Finland, specifically targeting companies run by entrepreneurs. As a result, Nordea is now able to provide its corporate customers with a full range of banking and insurance services.

As part of its current strategy, Nordea intends to focus more intensively on its corporate customers by offering all banking and insurance services they need from one establishment to make their banking experience much easier.

TrygVesta, which operates as Nordea General Insurance in Finland, has, together with Nordea, built up a portfolio of highly competitive products within a little over six months, the companies claim.

Nordea’s decision to expand its insurance line came after numerous requests from customers asking for insurance services for the corporate side of the businesses. Initially, Nordea and TrygVesta will focus on small enterprises, which represent over 90% of Finnish firms and are located all over the country.

The first business insurance policies have already been sold, said Ville-Veikko Laukkanen, head of business in Finland for Nordea General Insurance.
