Insurance broker and consultant NFP has acquired US-based Vanorsdale Insurance Services, for an undisclosed sum.

Established in 1947, Vanorsdale is a property & casualty (P&C) insurance agency that offers commercial and personal P&C coverage and employee benefits services to the customers in the San Diego and Los Angeles regions.

Vanorsdale president Doug Galloway will join as director in NFP Property & Casualty, and reports to its California Regional president Paul Saich.

Galloway said: "We look forward to enhancing the insurance solutions we offer our clients and extending our reach in Southern California by leveraging the expansive resources and scale of NFP."

NFP Property & Casualty CEO Terrence Scali said: "The Vanorsdale acquisition presents NFP with an exceptional opportunity to expand our commercial and personal insurance services to the Southern California region, while creating the potential for future expansion for other NFP capabilities."

In September 2015, NFP also acquired New Jersey-based P&C insurance broker Insurance Management Associates (IMA), which provides insurance services to the real estate, construction, retail, manufacturer and wholesaler industries.

NFP provides employee benefits, P&C, retirement, and individual insurance and wealth management solutions to its customers.
