Insurance broker and consultant NFP has acquired the UK-based property and casualty (P&C) brokerage firm, Linkfield Corporate Solutions.

Established in 2005, Birmingham’s Linkfield provides commercial and personal lines insurance services to its customers.

The company also offers commercial motor fleet insurance services to its clients.

The deal allows NFP to expand its operations in the UK commercial P&C markets, in addition to enhancing its P&C consulting capabilities.

Linkfield’s principals John Paul Allcock and Mark Tomkinson will continue to serve the firm.

Allcock will acts as managing director, reporting to Kishan Herriotts, while Tomkinson will assume the role of director, reporting to Allcock.

Herriotts said: "NFP recognizes tremendous opportunity within the U.K. and we view Linkfield as a key player in achieving new growth."

Allcock and Tomkinson jointly said: "NFP is a known leader in the P&C industry, and as we look to the future of our organization, we considered the resources and support needed for achieving growth.

"Joining NFP gives us the capabilities to grow the suite of P&C services we provide our clients and expand our business in the future."

With around 3,400 employees, NFP offers employee benefits, P&C, retirement, and individual insurance and wealth management solutions through its licensed subsidiaries and affiliates.
