NFP, an insurance broker and consultant engaged in employee benefits, property & casualty (P&C), retirement and individual private client solutions, has acquired Commerce Insurance Group.

The transaction closed effective June 1, 2018.

Located in the Evansville area of Indiana, Commerce Insurance Group is an insurance broker that offers P&C capabilities to both commercial and personal clients in the Midwest.

Their expertise in the senior living industry, including nursing homes and assisted living facilities, will expand NFP’s P&C resources and offerings in the Central region, specifically in southern Indiana. Principal of the firm, Bob Fitzsimmons, will become a vice president in NFP’s P&C division, reporting to John Dillion, managing director in NFP’s P&C division.
