Will be responsible for information technology vision, strategy and planning, overseeing the Enterprise Architecture and Engineering division

New York Life Insurance has appointed Sue Ericksen as senior vice president and chief technology officer of Corporate Information. He will be reporting to chief information officer and senior vice president, Eileen Slevin.

In this role, Ms. Ericksen will be responsible for New York Life’s information technology vision, strategy and planning, overseeing the Enterprise Architecture and Engineering division in the Corporate Information department.

Before joining New York Life, she served as chief technology officer at Merrill Lynch Banks, where she was responsible for all Information Technology services in support of Merrill Lynch’s US Banks.

Before that, she held a number of executive positions at Citigroup, including chief technology officer for CitiCards and chief information officer for CitiFinancial. As chief information officer, she was responsible for all information technology services in support of a 2,400 multi-national branch network.
