Mr Miller will be responsible for overseeing all IPS operations

New York Life Insurance Company has appointed Gary Miller as head of Individual Policy Services, responsible for all life insurance and annuity services to policyholders.

Mr Miller as senior vice president will report to executive vice president and chief administrative officer, Frank Boccio.

In these capacities, Mr Miller is responsible for overseeing all IPS operations, including customer service professionals. He is responsible for the company’s five regional service centers and its New York City-based service center.

Mr Miller joined New York Life in 2002 as a vice president and was promoted to first vice president in 2003. He was appointed senior vice president in 2005.

Prior to joining New York Life, Mr Miller was vice president and director of Mutual Fund Services for The Hartford Life Insurance Company. Before that, he was vice president of Advisory Services at Prudential Investments. Mr Miller began his career at The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, where he was vice president of Pension and Annuity Services.
