New York Life Insurance has appointed Patrick McCraw as new senior vice president in charge of the company’s South Central Agencies, one of the company’s four US sales regions

In his new role, McCraw will oversee the recruiting, training and development of the managing partners who lead the 33 general offices in the South Central Zone, which encompasses 13 states from Florida to Michigan.

He will also be responsible for the sales production and overall supervision of the offices within the South Central Zone, which includes more than 2,700 agents, and is based in Georgia.

McCraw will succeed John Curry, who has become managing partner for the Greater New York general office and reports to executive vice president Mark Pfaff.

McCraw joined New York Life as an agent in the Mississippi general office in 1993 and was promoted to partner in 1996. In 1998, he moved to the Kentucky general office as managing partner.

He was promoted to agency vice president for the South Central Zone in 2000 and vice president for the South Central Zone in 2002.
