Navigators Underwriting Agency, a subsidiary of The Navigators Group, has established Navigators NV, the company's Belgian subsidiary, with the opening of a new office in Antwerp. The new specialist marine underwriting unit is Navigators' first office in continental Europe.

Jan Dela Ruelle is the marine underwriting manager and Ivan Eggermont the marine claims manager at Navigators NV. Both are experienced in the Belgian and international marine insurance markets. During its first year of operation, Navigators NV will focus on three product areas: transport liabilities, cargo and marine liabilities.
