Nationwide Risk Consulting has formed a new specialty insurance wholesale company called Specialty Markets Plus, and has entered into a marketing relationship with Alliant Insurance Services for access to insurance markets and support services.

The new company will combine capabilities of Nationwide Risk’s national network of broker partners with the insurance marketing and support capabilities of Alliant. It will provide middle market brokers an opportunity to expand their services with carriers, MGA’s and MGU’s on specialty line products.

According to Nationwide Risk Consulting, the regional insurance brokers will be able to offer an option to their clients on specialty line products for universities, parochial schools, public schools, charter schools, private schools and public entities.

Other specialty segments include medical malpractice programs for physician practices, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and hospitals; a program for liquor liability and other coverage for restaurants, bars and taverns.

Edward Kelly, Jr., president of Nationwide Risk Consulting, said: “Specialty Markets Plus will provide Nationwide Risk’s ‘Working Partners’ brokers who are looking to expand their business a better solution through the expertise, knowledge and competitive pricing structure of Alliant Insurance Services.”
