Nationwide Insurance, that offers personalized insurance and financial services, has introduced enhanced offerings for consumers using mobile devices.

The company said that its Nationwide Mobile application for iPhone and iPod touch is now available for Android users and has enhanced its mobile web site, m.nationwide.com.

Nationwide Mobile which provides a tool kit for customers to use following a car accident as well as access to their Nationwide account information, will be available for Android users beginning this month.

Nationwide associate vice president of Digital Marketing Dennis Giglio said that the Nationwide Mobile App for iPhone and iPod touch has been really successful.

"We wanted to build on this success by expanding the reach of our mobile capabilities to a wider range of customers by adding an Android app and improving our mobile website," Giglio said.
