National Holdings, a full service investment banking holding company, has appointed Richard Urbealis as new CEO for its wholly owned subsidiary, National Insurance (NIC).

In this new role, Urbealis will be involved in building out the insurance platform by helping NIC’s advisors and registered representatives at NICs affiliated broker-dealers, National Securities Corporation and vFinance Investments, (collectively, the National Advisors), diversify their product/planning capabilities.

Urbealis will also be responsible for the strategic business development alliance programs at NIC regarding CPA/Law firms, property and casualty firms, banks, and other business development opportunities.

Urbealis will be working side by side with Alan Lipson chairman of NIC.

Previous to National, Urbealis was managing partner of Private Client Group, a full service financial/estate analysis and benefits consulting firm.

Moreover, Urbealis will bring fifty new agents to NIC who come with Urbealis from the Private Client Group.

National Holdings CEO Mark Goldwasser said that NIC is well on its way to its goal of becoming the premier resource for independent financial advisors, especially those ready to expand their service array and take their businesses to a new level.
