Brian Marino was sworn in as President-elect on October 4th of 2009
Brian Marino, CIC, has been selected as president-elect of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA).
Mr Marino, said: It is an honour to be elected by my peers to serve as an officer of PIA, a national association representing professional, independent insurance agents in all 50 states. PIA is an activist, grassroots organisation that seeks to protect the business and professional interests of its members, the owners of independent insurance agencies, in Tallahassee and throughout the nation.”
Marino is the president and owner of Family Insurance Services. A member of the board of directors of PIA of Florida since the early 90’s, Marino served as president of the South Florida chapter of the PIA in 1994. In 1997, Marino served as president of PIA of Florida.
Marino became a director of the national PIA in 2006, where he was appointed co-chair of the PIA National Natural Catastrophe Task Force, continuing in that capacity today. He was elected to the executive committee of PIA National in 2007 and sworn in as President-elect on October 4th of 2009.
PIA is a national trade association that represents member insurance agents and their employees who sell and service all kinds of insurance, but specialise in coverage of automobiles, homes and businesses.
