Mutual of Omaha has appointed Brian Armstrong and Oliver Schulz as regional sales managers for its Retirement Plans division.

Armstrong, in his new role will cover the Central and South Florida market and is based out of Tampa while Schulz will focus on the New York metropolitan area and will be based out of New York City.

Mutual of Omaha 401(k) national sales director Seth Friedman said: "These individuals are part of our strategic initiative to grow our national presence by placing proven financial sales experts in roles that will support sustainable growth and distribution of our 401(k) product line."

With more than 15 years experience in the financial services industry, Armstrong held service with Mass Mutual as sales director prior to joining to Mutual of Omaha.

Armstrong also served at First Mercantile Trust, Gallagher Retirement Services, ADP and Morgan Stanley in several retirement plans sales and leadership positions.

Recently, Schulz held service with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as financial advisor and has more than 13 years experience in selling 401(k) and defined benefit plans.

Schulz also served in several retirement plans sales at Nationwide Financial, Oppenheimer Funds and Aegon/Transamerica.
