Mountain States Insurance Group has selected the Accenture Duck Creek property and casualty (P&C) policy software suite to replace its legacy policy administration and billing systems, as part of long-term strategy for increasing customer service and satisfaction.

Accenture Duck Creek Policy Administration and Accenture Duck Creek Billing will be used by the insurer as core policy administration and billing systems as well as to assist product development processes and customer service enhancement.

Mountain States chief risk officer Beau Irwin said: "After an extensive vendor search, it was clear that the modern technology and highly flexible configuration capabilities of the Accenture Duck Creek software would enable us to meet our goals."

In addition to Accenture Duck Creek Templates, Mountain States will also use Accenture’s product configuration software application to aid rapid implementation and ongoing maintenance of Insurance Services Office based commercial lines and National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) based workers’ compensation products.

Accenture Software for P&C Insurance global managing director Michael Jackowski said that the software has been selected by Mountain States as the foundation of their technology modernization initiative.

"Our mission is not only to develop and implement the leading integrated suite of software in the P&C industry today, but to also help our clients use our software to drive better customer service and improve their overall business results," Jackowski added.
