Aviva's UK-based asset management business Morley has appointed Gerard Hutchings as the new head of UK pensions business development.

Mr Hutchings will be responsible for accelerating the growth of Morley’s institutional business – primarily UK pension funds.

Reporting to Richard Warne, head of UK institutional business development, Mr Hutchings will work closely with the consultant relations and client relationship management teams.

Prior to joining Morley, Mr Hutchings has led sales teams selling professional services at Hewlett Packard, Compaq, Cap Gemini, and Ernst and Young. He holds a PhD in computer science from The University of Southampton.
