MJ Insurance, a property-casualty and employee benefit agency, has appointed Tamra Brodie as marketing underwriter in the employee benefits division and BJ Moore as a property & casualty producer in the Construction Practice Group.

MJ Insurance, a property-casualty and employee benefit agency, has appointed Tamra Brodie as marketing underwriter in the employee benefits division and BJ Moore as a property & casualty producer in the Construction Practice Group.

Brodie will join the Employee Benefits team at MJ’s headquarters in Indianapolis bringing more than 15 years experience. As a marketing underwriter, she will specialize in plan design and cost analysis, as well as underwriting and health care risk management.

She will request, obtain and finalize requests for proposals from various carriers; prepare proposals for client review; prepare various report exhibits for routine client review; and market various lines of coverage for current and prospective MJ clients with select carriers to insure competitive pricing and plan designs.

Prior to her new role as marketing underwriter, Brodie worked as a medical underwriter at RGI, a division of Key Family of Companies.

Moore brings 13 years of industry expertise to MJ. In his new role as P&C Producer in the Construction Practice Group, Moore will focus on business development and service for large and middle market clients.

Additionally, Moore will be involved in developing Risk Management programs and practices with MJ.

Prior to MJ, he served as the regional director of safety and loss control at Turner Construction where he was responsible for multiple elements of risk management including insurance procurement,claims management and loss control for over $2.5bn of new construction work annually in the Central United States and Canada.
