MiniCo Insurance Agency, a member of the Aran Insurance Services, has signed an agreement with Aspen American Insurance to be additional an additional carrier for MiniCo's specialty insurance programs for the self-storage industry.
Under this agreement, Aspen American Insurance, a subsidiary of Aspen Insurance, will begin underwriting coverage effective 1 July 2011, in several states with plans to roll out additional states throughout the remainder of 2011.
MiniCo president and CEO Mike Schofield said the new relationship with Aspen American Insurance will broaden the appetite allowing it’s insurance programs to be a viable option to a greater number of self-storage locations.
"Agents can expect to see enhancements with the new carrier including flood coverage, improved wind and hail deductible options, and expanded geographic and peril support," Schofield said.
