Miller, a UK-based insurance and reinsurance broker, has expanded its property reinsurance business with three new senior appointments.

Miller has said that Adrian Stewart will join the company to help lead the expansion of its property reinsurance book. He joins Miller from Guy Carpenter where he was managing director and played key role in leading and expanding its global retrocessional practice from GBP3.5m to GBP25m in 10 years.

According to the company, Mr Stewart will be joined by Nick Pomeroy and Jeremy Crowch. Mr Pomeroy specialises in property reinsurance and was previously a senior vice president at Guy Carpenter, where he had been for 30 years.

Mr Crowch is an ILW (industry loss warranty) expert, accessing traditional and non-traditional markets. He will join from Evolution Markets where he is vice president of catastrophe derivatives. Prior to that he was at Gallagher Re and Willis, where he was a divisional director.

James Geffen, head of reinsurance at Miller, said: “Miller has been successfully expanding in all its core areas of business and we feel that at a time when the broker landscape continues to consolidate, Miller’s proposition of independent advice, specialist expertise and the highest level of client service represents a great choice for reinsurance buyers.”
