Midas Underwriting has unveiled two new non-standard personal motor policies for performance cars and classic sports cars.
Midas Classic Car is available for sports cars that are at least 15 years old and cover a maximum annual mileage of 6000, whereas Midas Performance Car is designed for an array of sports cars, ranging from the Mazda MX5 and MGF to the Ferrari 458 and Aston Martin DBS.
Certain Japanese imports and high performance saloons are also eligible for the second product, which will quote for a broad range of modifications, besides encompassing high profile occupations and providing cover for track days.
Midas Group managing director Alan Hunter said, ”We believe that our underwriting footprint, flexibility and understanding of this specialist market will ensure that these new products complement our highly successful household book, cementing our position as a leading provider of non-standard personal lines insurance products within the broker market.”
Available on full cycle EDI basis, both the policies will initially launch with Transactor Global Solutions this month prior to roll out to other software houses throughout 2013.
Specialist brokers holding expertise in the non-standard motor market will only have access to the policies.
