Unirisx, a global provider of SaaS-based, policy management solutions for the property and casualty (P&C) insurance marketplace, announced that The MGIS Companies has selected the company's Insurance Solution Suite to handle policy administration, underwriting and new business processing.

MGIS, a 45-year old insurance program manager based in Salt Lake City and focused on providing specialized insurance solutions, including group disability, group life, and medical-professional liability insurance products, for physicians and medical groups of all sizes and specialties across the US will implement Unirisx’s Insurance Solution Suite.

The implementation will enable MGIS to manage and expand both product lines and distribution capabilities on a single integrated platform.

"We conducted a comprehensive internal evaluation process to determine not only our current, but our future needs," said Jeff Brunken, president of MGIS.

"By matching up strategic business and growth goals against current IT infrastructure, we determined the highest priority for MGIS right now was finding and implementing a solution which can serve as a single platform for both commercial P&C and group benefits, while enabling us to enhance service capability and scale as needed for future growth."

During an in-depth selection process, MGIS evaluated over 30 vendors and solutions before narrowing down to a shortlist which included just a handful of potential technology partners.

The Unirisx Insurance Solution Suite met the MGIS technology platform criteria, schedule and budget, and possessed the ability to deliver the needed features and functionality on one platform for both commercial P&C products and group benefits.

Going forward, the Unirisx Insurance Solution Suite will facilitate the high service standards for which MGIS is known, and enable rapid line of business (LOB) growth.

"MGIS is an entrepreneurial and forward looking organization and they hold themselves to an extremely high service standard," said Akhil Tripathi, CEO of Unirisx.
