Mercer along with Connextions has introduced a new national medicare retirement exchange, myCustomHealth, intended to assist employers in reducing administrative burdens and cost.

myCustomHealth provides a solution that integrates retiree medical insurance with wellness and other related services while reducing administrative burden associated with managing retiree insurance issues and annual plan review and renewal.

Capable of providing positive enrollment experience for seniors, myCustomHealth features Connextions’ fully integrated Retiree Reimbursement Account, Optum and is the only default plan coverage option for retirees who do not actively select a plan.

Mercer’s health and benefits business US leader Sharon Cunninghis said that the exchange enables employer ease the transition for their retirees and guides them through the insurance selection process

"The Connextions exchange will empower retirees with more benefit choices and personal assistance in choosing their benefits, while allowing employers to better manage costs and future liabilities," Cunninghis added.

Connextions’ exchange solutions division managing director Rob Panepinto said: "It focuses on helping all retirees choose the plan that best fits their needs and giving them access to ongoing health and wellness solutions."
