Max Capital Group, a provider of specialty insurance and reinsurance, has appointed two International Casualty reinsurance underwriters (ICRU), Graeme Scott and Stuart Hawes, at Lloyd’s, the Lloyd’s managing agent for Syndicates 1400, 2525 and 2526.

Graeme Scott has been appointed as Casualty Treaty Underwriting Manager for Lloyd’s Syndicate 1400. He will be responsible for writing a portfolio of International Casualty Treaty business from the Syndicate’s Box at Lloyd’s, to complement the existing books of Property and Personal Accident Treaty business, already written by the Syndicate.

Mr. Scott most recently served as Senior International Casualty Treaty Underwriter for ACE Tempest Re in London. Previously, he was Underwriting Manager with Munich Re UK.

He will be supported by Stuart Hawes, who has been appointed Treaty Underwriter for Lloyd’s Syndicate 1400. Mr. Hawes most recently served with ACE Tempest Re, and is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII).
