Marsh, an insurance broker and risk adviser, has appointed Michael Anderson as the new president of its US construction practice.

Mr Anderson joins Marsh from Willis, where he was the surety practice leader in the firm’s US construction practice. At Willis, he was responsible for management and business development of construction surety.

Prior to Willis, Mr Anderson spent 15 years as a surety underwriter at St Paul Seaboard Surety and Reliance Surety.

Marsh’s global construction practice includes around 600 professionals who provide risk management and insurance services on about 340 construction projects, consisting of around $58bn in construction costs. It provides a range of risk management and insurance services.
