Marsh, a global insurance broker and risk advisor, has appointed Eugenio Paschoal as new CEO of Marsh Brazil, effective 1 January 2011.

In this new role based in Sao Paulo, Paschoal will be responsible for leading Marsh Brazil’s operating model and its expansion strategy.

Paschoal will succeed Thomaz Menezes, who left the company to become CEO of Sul America Seguros e Previdencia.

Paschoal will join Marsh with more than 25 years of insurance broking experience. He most recently served as managing director of Willis Latin America and Caribbean. Prior to that, he spent 12 years as CEO of Willis Brazil.

Until Paschoal’s arrival, Renato Cassinelli, Regional Employee Benefits Practice leader for Latin America and Caribbean, will continue as interim head of Marsh Brazil.

Marsh International Division president Alexander Moczarski said that Eugenio’s extensive knowledge of the domestic market and successful track record as a CEO will be invaluable to expand operations in Brazil.
