Marsh & McLennan Agency, a subsidiary of insurance broker Marsh, has appointed Lisa Hoffmann as chief information officer to leverage information technology resources across the organization.

In addition, the company has also appointed Benjamin Newman as senior vice president of Mergers & Acquisitions to take a leading role in national expansion, and Sharon Werner as director of human resources to build a human resources function for accommodation of an expanding employee population and to attract, retain, and energize the talent serving middle market clients.

Most recently, Ms Hoffmann served as president and owner of Optimal Sourcing. She joined teh agency with around 23 years of experience in information technology which includes senior positions with Time-Warner’s Synapse Group, Centex, and GE Commercial Finance.

Mr Newman served as vice president of corporate development and senior vice president of operations for USI Affinity with USI Holdings before joining Marsh & McLennan. He also served in various positions with Capital Z Partners and Merrill Lynch & Co.

Previously, Ms Werner has held senior positions in human resources with a number of firms, including Trinchero Family Estates, Synapse Group, and Diageo.
