Marsh & McLennan Agency, a subsidiary of insurance broker Marsh, has acquired KSPH, a US-based employee benefits agency.
KSPH, launched in 2000, provides a wide range of employee benefits and retirement plan services to middle market clients in Virginia.
KSPH will operate within Rutherfoord, a Marsh & McLennan Agency company.
The transaction is the third complementary acquisition for Rutherfoord, which MMA acquired in March 2010 to serve as its mid-Atlantic hub.
As part of the acquisition, all of KSPH’s leadership and employees will join Rutherfoord/MMA and continue operating out of KSPH’s existing Glen Allen, Virginia, office.
Rutherfoord/MMA vice chairman Thomas Brown said that adding KSPH to Rutherfoord enables the firm to offer greater resources and a broader platform to serve the needs of its clients throughout the mid-Atlantic.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
