Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC), a global professional services firm, has opened its subsidiaries Marsh and Mercer's new office in Manchester, UK.
The move follows the announcement in the second half of 2010 that the two companies, Marsh and Mercer, would consolidate their Manchester operations into one location.
The companies have signed a 10-year lease to occupy office space in Belvedere House, a new city center development in Booth Street, which will provide accommodation for approximately 400 employees.
Marsh’s Manchester operations provide insurance broking and risk advisory services to organizations throughout the North of England.
Mercer is Manchester-based organization with employee benefit consulting and administration services covering pensions, health and risk benefits and associated investment services.
