Markel has appointed John Latham as managing director, regional wholesale operations, who will oversee the company's regional offices located in Virginia, Texas, Arizona, California, Illinois and New Jersey. In addition, he will continue to oversee the southeast region headquartered in Richmond, VA.
Mr Latham has 43 years of experience in the insurance industry and has been with Markel for the past seven years where he has held several leadership roles including president of Markel Re and chief information officer. Previously, he was president and chief executive of Colony Insurance Companies.
