Markel American Insurance Company has introduced its new Renter's Protection Insurance program.
The program provides tenant homeowner’s coverage on a broader form than the standard HO-4 renter’s policy and provides many options to increase coverage as well as the limits within the policy. It is designed to meet the needs of tenants in rental complexes in a way by providing options not commonly available.
According to the company, the program includes – flood coverage; earthquake coverage; multiple levels of endorsements to increase limits for items such as jewelry, electronics and tools; scheduled personal property coverage; and the ability for properties that meet specific criteria to receive discounts.
