Longfellow Benefits, a Boston-based employee benefits brokerage and consulting firm, has promoted Kevin Gazda from vice president to senior vice president, employee benefits operations.

In addition, Kristie Howard has been promoted from senior consultant to vice president, client services, large case specialist; and John Galvin from senior consultant to vice president, client services.

Gazda had been a consultant with Longfellow since 2000. In his new role, Gazda will oversee the operations of the client services team, manages third-party relationships, coordinates and manages the initiatives of various departments, and he will be the main contributor to the overall direction of the firm.

Howard, who has associated with Longfellow since 2007, works with large clients to design and manage cost-effective benefit programs. She will also oversee the firm’s Wellness Practice and co-founded the Worksite Wellness Council of Massachusetts that was launched in February 2011.

Galvin, who joined Longfellow in 2005, is experienced in designing and managing employee health and welfare benefit programs, with a focus on compliance.
