Joe Zuk will develop new business and assist the firm’s existing reinsurance book. Mr Zuk joins from Paris Re bringing underwriting knowledge and brokering experience in areas including medical malpractice, professional liability, specialty casualty, specialty property and industry loss warranties.

Stephen Hitchcock, managing director of Lockton Re, said: I would like to welcome our new colleagues to Lockton’s rapidly expanding global reinsurance team. There is great potential for Lockton Re to work with our colleagues in the US as we build out a platform that provides clients with specialist reinsurance broking services, sophisticated analytics and actuarial reinsurance advice.

John Daum, executive director of Lockton Re, said: Lockton Re’s strategy is to provide a high level of dedicated reinsurance expertise and service to our clients. We are confident there are major opportunities for Lockton Re to provide services to companies seeking alternatives in today’s increasingly limited reinsurance broker market.
