Lockton, an independent and privately owned insurance broker, has appointed Laurel Nichinson as new vice president and unit manager in the firm's commercial insurance division in San Francisco.
Based in Lockton’s San Francisco office, Nichinson will have a lead role in serving Lockton’s clients in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
Lockton said that the appointment of Nichinson adds depth of expertise in property & casualty insurance for mid- to large-size clients.
With experience in commercial insurance, including loss sensitive and captive programs, Nichinson has held many key client relationship management roles in her career.
Immediately prior to joining Lockton, she was an account executive at Aon San Francisco, where she advised large, complex clients. She also held several positions within AIG’s risk management group.
Lockton’s San Francisco operations president and CEO Adam McDonough said Laurel brings a wealth of brokerage and client service experience.
