Lighthouse Property Insurance, a Louisiana domestic insurance company, has acquired the Louisiana homeowners policies of Florida-based insurer HomeWise Insurance.
Based in Florida, HomeWise provides homeowners coverage and other property insurance products through a major network of experienced, independent agents.
The terms of the agreement include the transfer to Lighthouse of over 11,000 homeowners’ policies which represent approximately $25m of in-force premium.
Lighthouse president Ron Chapman said this acquisition re-affirms the strong commitment to the Louisiana homeowners market. They expect this transition to go very smoothly as virtually all of the HomeWise agents are also Lighthouse agents.
Lighthouse Property Insurance is an admitted, Louisiana-domiciled insurance company specializing in providing homeowners, condominium unit, renters’ and dwelling fire (Landlord) insurance coverage.
