According to the FTC, Identity theft is costing Americans around $1.8 billion annually

Arizona-based LifeLock, an identity theft protection service, and AAA Hoosier Motor Club (AAA) has entered into a partnership to help more consumers put up layers of protection against the threats of identity theft.

As per the agreement, AAA members can receive the LifeLock identity theft protection services at less rate, as part of the Show Your Card & Save program. The LifeLock services benefit joins the dozens of hotel, automotive and retail discounts already available to AAA members.

Steve McGrady, Vice President of Partner Sales at LifeLock, said: “We have forged a strong relationship with AAA during the past year and are pleased to add AAA Hoosier Motor Club to our growing list of AAA affiliations. This partnership affords us the opportunity to educate more families about the threats of identity theft, but more importantly, it allows us the chance to empower consumers and give them tools to help them fight back against identity thieves.”

Identity theft is costing Americans more than $1.8 billion annually, according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The latest reports show the number of identity theft complaints in the US has grown by 80% since 2000.
