Liberty Mutual Reinsurance, a business unit Liberty Mutual Group, has opened a new office in Stamford, Connecticut.
Michael Finnegan, senior vice president, and casualty underwriting manager at the Liberty Mutual will head the new Stamford office.
The insurer also added Tom Greene, who has over 25 years of experience in the reinsurance industry.
In his new role, Greene will focus on underwriting a variety of professional liability treaties at the group.
Liberty Mutual Reinsurance chief operating officer Jim Hinchley said Metro New York is one of the key global reinsurance centers.
"Our new Stamford office will help support the continued growth of Liberty Mutual Reinsurance by providing a reinsurance underwriting center in this important geographic market," Hinchley said.
