Liberty Mutual Insurance (LMI), the commercial lines division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe, has promoted Martino D'Aliesio to the role of regional manager for its Bristol office, replacing former manager Jonathan Powell who is returning to Australia.

In his new role, D’Aliesio will continue to build LMI’s casualty presence in the South West, in addition to his branch manager responsibilities of directing the future development of the Bristol office.

D’Aliesio joined LMI in 2005 and was previously regional casualty manager for the Bristol office.

He has more than 20 years of experience in casualty insurance having previously worked for a number of insurance companies.

Bristol was one of LMI’s first regional offices in the UK alongside Manchester. Since then the firm has opened new branches in Birmingham, Cheltenham and London.

Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe CEO Sean Rocks said Martino has been with the Bristol office since it launched so he knows the market and its issues.

"Together with the support of the Bristol team, Martino will continue to develop our newly-launched Commercial offering in the South West," Rocks said.
