Lexington Insurance Company, a Chartis company, has extended its CrisisResponse coverage to healthcare facilities and physician groups.

According to Lexington, the CrisisResponse coverage is designed to provide expertise and resources to better manage and control the immediate aftermath of a crisis event, as defined in the policy.

Available as an endorsement to Lexington Insurance Company’s primary general liability or lead umbrella policy forms that are provided to hospitals, long-term care facilities, outpatient facilities and physician groups, CrisisResponse provides up to $100,000 of crisis response coverage in addition to the general liability policy limits, or up to $250,000 of crisis response coverage in addition to the lead umbrella policy limits.

Brad Cox, SVP and healthcare division executive of Lexington, said: “If a crisis event occurs, CrisisResponse coverage provides our insureds with access to the funds and professional support needed to implement a crisis management plan, respond to the immediate needs of affected individuals, and mitigate potential reputational damage.”
