UK-based Legal & General Group, a provider of life insurance, has appointed Ben Thompson to the position of mortgages director.
He will be responsible for managing Legal & General’s mortgage club. Being the key contact for lenders in the club, Mr Thompson will be responsible for managing the exclusive products program and ensuring that advisers have access to compelling mortgage products. He replaces John Cupis and will report to Stephen Smith, director of housing.

Mr Thompson has been in financial services for over 20 years, focusing primarily on sales and marketing roles in the mortgage sector.
