Ericom Software, a US-based provider of enterprise-wide application access technologies, has announced that its flagship product has been selected by one of the largest insurance brokers in the UK.
The unnamed insurer has over 3,100 employees, a gross premium income in excess of GBP440 million and has acquired over 250 brokerage businesses in the past five years, Ericom revealed.
Following a rigorous evaluation of several offerings, Ericom’s PowerTerm WebConnect RemoteView was chosen to support the insurance broker’s high street branches and call-center employees and agents, enabling online purchases and renewals of insurance policies and related products.
PowerTerm WebConnect RemoteView offers centralized management of applications and user configurations, secure on-demand application access, complete control over access, and improved information privacy.
With the server-based product, the insurer hopes to improve employee productivity, simplify the management of a mixed infrastructure of 2,000 Wyse thin client and desktop users and enhance security.
