To expand the market presence

Kwik Fit Insurance has decided for a major recruitment process that will take the headcount at its Uddingston headquarters to over 1000 by the turn of the year.

The UK insurance intermediary has announced plans to recruit a further 84 posts between now and January 2010. The new recruits will fill a variety of roles at its call centre including outbound sales, internet sales and policy renewals.

Brendan Devine, group managing director of Kwik Fit Financial Services, said: We’re looking at a number of opportunities for us to grow our business and we need to ensure we recruit good people who will help us to achieve this.

This is a really exciting time for everyone at Kwik Fit Insurance as we aim to strengthen our position in the UK insurance market. We’re growing our policy numbers year on year and we want to maintain that momentum by adding to the great team we already have.

Lanark and Hamilton East MP Jim Hood, whose constituency includes Uddingston, welcomed the news about the recruitment drive.

He said: I am delighted at the good news that 84 new jobs are being created at Kwik Fit Insurance in Uddingston. This is welcome news for the local economy and my constituents.
