Kiln Group, a UK-based insurance and reinsurance underwriting group, has hired Paul Dreblow as new underwriting director for Singapore, and Kenneth Leung as new construction underwriter in Hong Kong, as part of its expansion plans in Asia.

Mr Dreblow, based in Singapore, will form part of the regional management team taking on the role of underwriting director. In addition, he will underwrite the regional property account. He takes over from Sam Geddes who will be returning to London towards the end of 2010.

Earlier, Mr Dreblow was head of property facultative for Tokio Marine Global in London. He has worked in the region before and spent a number of years with Swiss Re Singapore, where he was responsible for the management of the property facultative portfolio and teams in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

Mr Leung joins as construction underwriter in Hong Kong. He joins Kiln from Aon Hong Kong, where he was an associate director in the energy and construction division.

Neil Wray, managing director Asia at Kiln, said: “These appointments are both key to the development of our Asian business, and in particular to the property team. Paul is well respected within the region and will be an important addition to the team, taking over the excellent work Sam Geddes has done to establish Kiln’s regional presence. Kenneth’s technical excellence will also be a great asset.”
