The transaction to provide Keystone franchisees with an expanded portfolio of offerings and services

Keystone Insurers Group (KIG), a property/casualty agency, has acquired the Benefits division of Synergy Insurance Group. The transaction is expected to provide Keystone franchisees with an expanded portfolio of offerings and services.

Keystone Insurance and Benefits Group (KIBG), headquartered in Mishawaka, Indiana, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of KIG. It will provide, to franchisees and their clients, the sales, customer service and administrative functions associated with employee and individual benefits.

An expanded platform of value-added services will be offered to KIG franchisees currently engaged in the benefits arena, as well as to those wishing to add such services, said the company.

George Wynne, executive vice president of corporate development of KIG, said: “This acquisition will significantly enhance our employee and individual benefits services. This is a great step in the growth of Keystone Insurers Group as a national franchisor of independent insurance agencies. KIBG takes Keystone to a whole new level of expertise, responsiveness, and value-added service for our franchisees’ clients in the employee and individual benefits arena.”
