Junction, the insurance affinity arm of the BGL Group, has signed an agreement with RAC to continue management of motor insurance for its new and existing customers.

As part of the agreement, the existing platform will be used to maximize insurer relationships, and also introduce new technology-focused initiatives to expand customer base in the next five years.

Junction has collaborated with RAC to design and develop its private motor insurance products and also manage all customer interactions, as part of the partnership that started in 2008.

Commenting on the deal, Junction managing director Peter Thompson said, "The growth we have driven for RAC private motor insurance since our partnership began puts us on the right road to delivering its ambition to be one of the leading motor insurance providers.”

The companies will also search for new ways to tap into and also use customer and other data to drive more competitive rates.
