John Hancock Retirement Plan Services (RPS) has named Robert Stanley as the new senior vice president of sales development. He will be based in Boston.

In this new role, Mr Stanley will report to Arthur Creel, executive vice president of sales and marketing at John Hancock RPS, and will be responsible for managing the teams that support the company’s sales and distribution group including those handling training and education, business intelligence, meeting management, sales team compensation, broker dealer contracts, and competitive intelligence.

Mr Stanley joined John Hancock in 2001 in annuity operations and most recently served as the vice president of John Hancock RPS operations. Prior to joining John Hancock, he served as a business consulting manager on the financial services industry team at Arthur Anderson.

Mr Creel, said: “Rob has made invaluable contributions to the success of RPS and I’m pleased he will continue to do so in this new role. His knowledge of how things work and ability to implement changes that lead to improvement make him a perfect fit for this position.”
